Brian Jones - the Why

Brian Jones, well what a common name, and what a challenge to get a high ranking in search engines. As I wrote this in November 2003, searching for Brian Jones using the major search engines gives pages and pages of hits for my namesake Brian Jones of the Rolling Stones but nothing for this particular person with that name. In February 2004 this Brian Jones hits position 61 - and rising. Had my surname been Newsway I wouldn't be writing this - Brian Newsway is almost top hit already and most of the Newsway names in this website get top hit in Google just using forename and surname. For example, my Mum, Edna Newsway, is number one in November 2003. Well done Mum! For me, as a Brian Jones, this challenge is analogous to climbing a mountain; I'm doing it because it's there not because I want to be acclaimed. You'll note that I'm giving very few details of myself so, unless you know sufficient about my family, you're very unlikely to know whether I'm the person you knew at school or work. But, while you're here, why not check out the amusement option. It's my illustration of why you shouldn't gamble. How betting on the rolling of a dice could win you a fortune - but only if you have a larger fortune to throw away. That's it really. Sorry to have troubled you.
